A rival of the XSSD villian Lex Luthor and ex-lover of Lana Lang when it revolves around Lex Luthor you can count Clark to try and defeat his ultimate nemesis. In the TV show however while he tries to tell Lana Lang that he is in love with her and tries to destroy Lex at the end of the first season he is found murdered with his head cut open after they had stabbed him with kryptonite. The killer was none other than that of Sylar.
